Many people are asking about Swine Flu, and if our products are effective in keeping people from catching it. Swine Flu is a virus whose primary point of entry into the body is through the respiratory system.
There is no one product that protects against the Swine Flu virus. It is unlike MRSA, a bacterial infection that targets the skin.
As recommended by the CDC, the most effective way to keep Swine Flu at bay is to wash it away during thorough handwashing. Wash with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Frequent hand washing will help you reduce the chance of getting contamination from common surfaces and from hand to mouth contact.
Where water is not available, use an alcohol-based instant hand sanitizer. If alcohol-based products are not allowed in your facility, use a non-alcohol (quat based) hand sanitizer. Though the scientific evidence is not as extensive as that on hand washing and alcohol-based sanitizers, other hand sanitizers that do not contain alcohol may be useful for killing flu germs on hands.*
Kutol offers many products that are effective hand washing products. Our lotion soaps are effective for removing transient organisms from the skin. Our antibacterial hand soaps add an extra level of protection by not only removing the germs but killing them. Our alcohol gels and foams and our quaternary based hand sanitizers are effective at killing many germs.
Call Kutol at 1-800-543-4641 or your Kutol rep to find solutions to keep you germ-free and prevent the flu.
